The communications app has rolled out a major update to its iOS and Android apps that includes a host of fresh and updated features. Since last year, Telegram Premium users have been able to use voice and video message transcription options. This feature is now available to all users, albeit with very limited usability.
The company informs that free users will also be able to use the new functionality, but only two voice messages per week will be able to be converted to text. All one has to do is press the letter “A” next to the voice message and the user will receive the text version of the message. Telegram notes that this feature is rolling out gradually and won’t be available to everyone right away.
New opportunities are also offered in connection with short stories or stories. Telegram now offers a feature to repost stories. The user can repost public stories from friends or channels and add text, emoticons, and video comments to them.
