Djokovic reached his seventh trophy at the Tournament of Champions, surpassing Switzerland’s Roger Federer. The reward for his latest triumph will be his 400th week at the top of the ATP rankings.

Djokovic advanced to the final against Sinner, no. 4 world, 6-3, 6-3 in one hour and 44 minutes. The two met before in the group stage, and the victory went to the Italian, after 3 hours and 9 minutes (7-5, 6-7 (5/7), 7-6 (7/2).
“It is something special to win this title, after one of my best seasons. I am very happy, I managed a phenomenal week”, said the Serbian player after the victory.
The year 2023 will remain one of the most prolific in Djokovic’s career, with records and statistics that marked the history of tennis.
He won 3 out of 4 Grand Slams (Australian Open, Roland Garros and US Open), falling in the final of the fourth to Carlos Alcaraz at Wimbledon, to total 24 Grand Slam titles, the better performance in men’s and equaling, at the same time, the record of the Australian Margaret Court.
