A large fire broke out at Sweden’s largest amusement park in Gothenburg on Monday, and 12 people suffered minor injuries, authorities said.
Police evacuated people from hotels and offices connected to the Liseberg theme park, and urged people in the area to stay indoors due to the smoke.
According to the police, 12 people who received minor injuries sought medical help at the nearby hospital.
Footage from the scene shows flames and explosions destroying the water park’s slides, while black smoke rises above the city.
“The fire started in one of the water attractions” located outside the main water park building, “and then spread throughout the structure,” the theme park said in a statement.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
