Everyone is talking about the Super Bowl. But at least moderator Mola Adebisi is likely to attach even greater importance to another event that also took place in Las Vegas at the weekend: The moderator got married – with the active support of his friend Oliver Pocher.
All good things come in threes – and so ex-Viva presenter Mola Adebisi is now announcing the third good news about his private life in just a few weeks. Just before the end of the year, he and his girlfriend Adelina Zilai announced that they had gotten engaged. Then in January came the news that new blood was on the way. And now the 50-year-old shared that he and Zilai got married in Las Vegas over the weekend.
Adebisi made the wedding in the US gaming metropolis public in a story on his Instagram page. Accordingly, he and his partner, who is 14 years his junior, got married in the “Chappel of the Flowers” in Las Vegas shortly before the start of the Super Bowl. This was “unbelievable” and “crazy,” Adebisi explained to his followers. “If you want something unforgettable, get married in Vegas,” he added.
Adebisi’s friend Oliver Pocher also contributed to the crazy wedding, taking on several important tasks in an Elvis outfit: “I’m booked here as a complete package. Elvis, clergyman and best man. We just had another problem: we forgot the rings. I would have “We still had two at home that are no longer needed,” joked the comedian in an interview with the “Bild” newspaper, referring to his own marriage to Amira Pocher.
Instead of wrestling, a ribbon was used to symbolize the couple’s bond. The ceremony is said to have lasted around 20 minutes and was sealed for authentication by a real reverend. The groom then said: “Being married feels good. We’ve had a long time to get used to each other.”
Adebisi said he wasn’t nervous. “That was me when we bought our house. It was clear then: the next 30 years were booked together.”
Adebisi, who became known in the 1990s as a presenter on the then music channel Viva, has been in a relationship with Zilai since 2020. In 2021, the couple took part in the “Summer House of the Stars”.
Just before the end of 2023, Adebisi announced that his girlfriend will soon be his wife. He made the engagement public, which took place at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, on his Instagram account. “She said yes,” he wrote alongside a picture of the couple kissing. In mid-January, the two announced with a video clip that they would soon be parents. The baby was a “gift from God,” they explained.
