In France, tenants found a body in accommodation booked via the Airbnb portal. When the tenants entered the accommodation in Hoenheim, north of Strasbourg, they discovered the lifeless body of an approximately 40-year-old man, judicial sources said on Sunday.
The deceased was a friend of the owner of the apartment, the judicial source said, confirming a report in the newspaper “Les Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace”. According to the newspaper, only one person had the keys to the apartment. This was responsible for renting out the holiday apartment.
Although reports indicate that the cause of death appears to be natural, an investigation has been launched. An autopsy is scheduled to take place in the next few days.
