The is preparing to welcome professionals with a record participation which currently sees over 2130 registered companies, ready to present their innovative solutions in the field of lighting and building services technology. With a significant increase in companies compared to previous editions, this fair represents a crucial meeting point for industry professionals from all over the world. The fair, which will be held from 3 to 8 March 2024, will see a strong international presence with exhibitors who, after Germany, come for 77% of the total, mainly from Italy, China, Turkey, Spain, Poland, Austria, Netherlands, Great Britain, France and Greece.
This year’s focus is “Be Electrified” and aims to highlight the importance of electrification as a pillar for a sustainable and cutting-edge construction sector. In fact, the fair will offer a complete overview of the latest trends in lighting, electrical engineering, home automation and construction, as well as showing all the innovations and new technologies that will arrive on the market. With over 2000 manufacturers ready to present the latest solutions in terms of intelligent lighting systems and advanced technologies for homes and buildings, electrical infrastructure takes on crucial importance.
Precisely for this reason, another hot topic of the fair is the sustainable energy sector, with a particular focus on photovoltaic systems. These play a central role for the energy future, from power plants to private systems on balconies, from those on the roofs of condominiums to commercial photovoltaic fields. In the field of building services technology, the topics of energy source, energy independence and energy storage have become increasingly important in recent years.
At Light + Building 2024, new solutions for increasingly important topics will be presented, such as photovoltaic systems and energy storage, and there are as many as 70 exhibitors who are experts in the field of electric mobility and charging infrastructures, while 45 are the companies that present technological innovations and new products for decentralized energy supply. Ten of them are photovoltaic system specialists.
The fair reflects current market trends, thus underlining the importance of both energy independence and storage. In particular, thematic areas such as electric mobility, charging infrastructure and decentralized energy systems will be in focus, with leading companies in the sector presenting their innovations. Key players include ABB, Amperfied, Bosch Thermotechnik, Compleo Charging Solutions, Fronius, Go-e, Hager, Hensel, Hepa Solar, Legrand and Mennekes, to name a few.
And finally there will be no shortage of the main companies that deal with lighting solutions that will present innovative lighting concepts for both interiors and outdoors. From smart, portable and minimalist products to those with amazing effects. In fact, designers experiment with new materials and technologies, study new production processes and sustainable resources and these trends influence the design process.
In an era of dynamic change and hybridization, luminaires that meet these needs have a decisive advantage: they can keep up with a process of continuous change. The lighting experts will then show their creations which allow you to switch from one light atmosphere to another according to the situation and which stand out both in aesthetics and technology. Unexpected and contrasting material combinations create expressive lighting objects. Among the companies present we highlight Artemide, Arkoslight, Bega, Bomma, Cangini E Tucci, Martinelli Luce, Altro Luce and Nimbus.
