Havrileţ, former head of ANRE, also resigns from his mandate at OMV Petrom. What positions did he give up?

Niculae Havrileţ, former president of ANRE, announced to OMV Petrom that he is resigning as a member of the company’s Supervisory Board, starting on February 12.

Niculae Havrileţ was a member of the Supervisory Board of OMV Petrom starting on March 3, 2020.

OMV Petrom SA announces that Niculae Havrileț has notified the company about the renunciation of the mandate as a member of the Supervisory Board of OMV Petrom SA, starting on February 12, 2024. Following the renunciation of the mandate, Niculae Havrileț will cease to hold the position of member of the Supervisory Board and the Audit Committee of OMV Petrom SA starting on February 12, 2024, therefore this position becoming vacant”, says an announcement sent by the company to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Monday.

Last year, OMV Petrom made a net profit of 4.03 billion lei, down two and a half times from 10.3 billion lei in 2022. Sales revenue decreased at the end of 2023 by 37%, to 38.8 billion lei, compared to 61.34 billion lei at the end of 2022. The number of employees remained at the end of last year at around 7,700. The total production of hydrocarbons decreased in 2023 by 5%, to 41.37 million barrels of oil equivalent. Natural gas production decreased by 5% last year, 3.27 billion cubic meters. Electricity production was 4.2 TWh, down 17% compared to 2022.

Havrileț has also resigned from other positions in the past

Niculae Havrileţ, the former president of the National Energy Regulatory Authority, has resigned as a member of the Board of Directors of Romgaz, starting on December 9, 2020.

He previously gave up the similar mandate held at Electrica, following his appointment as Secretary of State within the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment.
