ATP: Surprise champions in Marseille and Cordoba

The Italian Luciano Darderi (136 ATP) won the first title of his career, after the victory in three sets against the Argentine Sebastian Baez (26 ATP), in the final of the tournament in Cordoba.

Luciano Darderi, ATP Cordoba champion / Ugo Humbert wins ATP Marseille

The final of the “ATP 250” tournament in Cordoba (Argentina) brought the number two favorite Sebastian Baez and Luciano Darderi, a player outside the top 100, face to face.

After three sets spanning two hours and 23 minutes, Darderi won 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, capturing his first career title.

Nor was the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov more fortunate in the confrontation with the Frenchman Ugo Humbert from ATP Marseille.

Ranked 21st in the world, Humbert beat Dimitrov (13 ATP, second favorite of the tournament) in two sets, score 6-4, 6-3.
