Saturday’s (February 10) traffic accident between the villages of Báhoň and Budmerice claimed one victim. A passenger was killed in a collision between two cars, one of the drivers was tested for alcohol in his breath. The Bratislava police informed about it, stating that a criminal prosecution has been initiated in the matter of the criminal act of killing in conjunction with the criminal act of endangerment under the influence of an addictive substance.
“The collision of two vehicles occurred when the driver of the SsangYong vehicle entered the opposite direction on the indicated road before the right-hand bend, where he collided with the oncoming vehicle,” the police said on the social network. During a breathalyzer test on the spot, the driver, who entered the opposite direction, was measured at 1.15 per thousand.
The drivers of both vehicles suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital. “Passenger in a vehicle with stamp no. SsangYong suffered non-life-threatening injuries and died at the scene,” the police concluded. A passenger in the second vehicle was also injured and was also taken to the hospital.
